Adhering to standard operating, safety procedures and company policies, this is a hands-on technician role maintaining and repairing site equipment to ensure minimal downtime. This position will be required to repair and service any and all equipment on site from loaders, excavators, skid steers, etc. You will also work closely with the site operations management to coordinate downtime on equipment. You will assist in improving the Preventative Maintenance program within the compost group. You will be required to manage the parts inventory, co-ordinate subcontracted work and equipment rentals. You will be required to conduct service repairs outdoors on occasion.


Successful candidates will ideally possess a Heavy Equipment Technician License. You will have the ability to diagnose and rectify faults. You will possess experience repairing hydraulic and electrical systems. Basic computer knowledge as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills are an asset for this position. Your ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced team oriented environment is key in this position. You must be flexible with your working schedule as you may be required to work weekends and holidays.
